The Telecommunications Engineering degree at MedTech offers students an excellent education in modern communications networks and systems. It integrates state-of-the-art concepts and technical knowledge underlying the core areas of electrical engineering, signal processing, communication theory and electronics, digital and embedded systems, and network design, management, and security. The program provides our graduates with a solid education to prepare them for a productive and lifelong career in the field of increasingly complex, heterogeneous and rapidly evolving telecommunication networks.
Our engineering students are also trained in the important areas of standards, regulation, and governance of ICT infrastructures. Furthermore, they are provided with a solid foundation in entrepreneurship and in business management, including finance and operations management. Training is also provided in the important areas of engineering ethics, technical writing, and presentation skills.
Training is delivered over four semesters after a common core program of 2 years shared with other engineering programs. Two semesters in the final 18 months before graduations are spent in a Coop program working on an approved final project at a local or international industrial partner.
